DILM Magnetic Contactors and Z motor-protective systems fit ideally into the overall installation, allowing cost savings to be made. For example, coupling or interfacing levels can be completely dispensed with in many places, since all contactors from the DILM185 and up are equipped with an electronically controlled drive which carries out this task. Furthermore, smaller transformers can be used, owing to the low pick-up and sealing power levels.
Capabilities
The system capability of the magnetic contactor and motor-protection range is evident in a variety of ways. For example, one auxiliary contact can be used from the DIL0M to the DILM820, only four current sensors cover motor protection from 1A to 820A, and complete motor-starters can be formed from plug-in modules.Simple fitting and connection, matched to the respective current range for all switching devices, a wide range of motor-starter products for various coordination types, and the associated know-how.

The LEV200 is designed to be the lowest cost sealed contactor in the industry. It can break up to 2000A (once), and will carry continuously 500A at up to 320V! That makes it suitable for almost any EV system using a Zilla 1K 156 or 300 volt controller! The LEV200 is hermetically sealed, so it can be operated in enclosed harsh/explosive spaces such as battery boxes.
The coil is rated for 12VDC, and requires about 1A to hold. The contactor can be ordered with or without auxiliary contacts (auxiliary contacts are used to sense when the main internal contact is open/closed). For more specifications, see the datasheet below.
For this contactor to operate safely, and be capable of disconnecting the controller from the battery pack in the event of a failure, the following design guidelines should be followed:
Used only on 300V systems or lower
Used with 1000A or lower controllers
4/0 Cable connection(s) made to the terminals of the contactor to help dissipate heat from the internal contacts
Battery current limited to 500A or less
